Michiganders
encouraged to share the love - serve your community in February
The Michigan Community Service Commission, the state’s lead
agency on volunteerism, is encouraging Michiganders to serve their
community by volunteering in the month of February.
We are focusing on a few great ways to help your community through service:
1. Support a food program
2. Join our Volunteer Michigan Disaster Team- get trained to help with disasters and emergencies close to you. We have opportunities to support in person, hands on clean ups, shelter operations and remote roles working with data and connecting with folks who need help.
3. Do you have a professional skill you would like to share with a nonprofit? How about signing up as a Skills based volunteer. You donate your services for a short period of time to complete a project for a nonprofit.
No matter how or where you serve, your efforts make a significant contribution to the betterment of our state. Thank you for your service!
