Emmet County Volunteer Reception Center Registration
Volunteers are needed to assist with a variety of disaster recovery tasks in Emmet County. For the safety of volunteers and residents, every volunteer will be required to authorize a criminal and national sex offender registry clearance. Training may be required for some positions prior to serving. A variety of skills are needed, and residents will be offered opportunities to help fellow residents with disaster recovery as well as participate in community projects in public areas. Needs include:
- Chainsaw work (prior experience needed and must own equipment)
- Yard clean up
- Debris Removal
- Trucks/Trailers to haul items away
- Home repairs
- Flood clean up in homes
- Replanting Trees
- Food Delivery
- Canvasing neighborhoods for damage assessments and wellness checks
- Food Prep
- Shelter assistance
- Spiritual Care
- Water distribution
- Donation distribution
- Clerical and data processing
