Volunteers are needed to assist with a variety of disaster recovery tasks in Emmet County. For the safety of volunteers and residents, every volunteer will be required to authorize a criminal and national sex offender registry clearance.  Training may be required for some positions prior to serving.  A variety of skills are needed, and residents will be offered opportunities to help fellow residents with disaster recovery as well as participate in community projects in public areas.   Needs include:

• Chainsaw work (prior experience needed and must own equipment)
• Yard clean up
• Debris Removal
• Trucks/Trailers to haul items away
• Home repairs
• Flood clean up in homes
• Replanting Trees
• Food Delivery
• Canvasing neighborhoods for damage assessments and wellness checks
• Food Prep
• Shelter assistance
• Spiritual Care
• Water distribution
• Donation distribution
• Clerical and data processing
