Emmet County Volunteer Reception Center Registration
Volunteers are needed to assist with a variety of disaster recovery tasks in Emmet County. For the safety of volunteers and residents, every volunteer will be required to authorize a criminal and national sex offender registry clearance. Training may be required for some positions prior to serving. A variety of skills are needed, and residents will be offered opportunities to help fellow residents with disaster recovery as well as participate in community projects in public areas. Needs include:
Chainsaw work (prior experience needed and must own equipment)
Yard clean up
Debris Removal
Trucks/Trailers to haul items away
Home repairs
Flood clean up in homes
Replanting Trees
Food Delivery
Canvasing neighborhoods for damage assessments and wellness checks
