Habitat for Humanity Capital Region

Description

State of Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity employees will come together the week of Sept. 8 in service to Michigan communities to honor the 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance.  In partnership with Habitat for Humanity Michigan, the Michigan Community Service Commission has organized project sites across the state for employees to volunteer.  Employees are encouraged to utilize their eight hours of volunteer leave.

*All participants are required to check with their manager prior to signing up.

Habitat for Humanity Capital Region is hosting a site in the greater Lansing area

  • Teams and individuals will be assigned to a location prior to the event
  • 10 volunteers per shift
  • Shifts are 9 - 12 pm and 1 - 4 pm on 9/10 and 9/11
  • Volunteers need to complete an online application prior to the event
  • Volunteers are required to wear closed toe shoes and should bring gloves.  Other safety items will be available such as head and eye protection.  If you have your own, please bring it with you.
