You will need to arrive early for every program to receive a “run of show” training. You will be encouraged to attend other Longway events and shows to expand their astronomical knowledge.
Outside of specific department position training, all volunteers must complete a Sloan Museum of Discovery and Longway Planetarium volunteer orientation session that will provide building familiarization tours and an overview of volunteer-related policies and procedures. Volunteers will be asked to submit a criminal background check. Volunteers who do not agree to the background check will be refused assignment.
