Global Youth Service Day - United Way of Bay County

This project is an extension of our annual Day of Caring project which celebrates Earth Day by cleaning up, planting flowers and bushes, and general beautification across Bay County. This is always a need in Bay City because tourism provides such an economic impact to this city. Making sure that the city is ready to greet tourists is always a priority. We have over 300 volunteers for this project with 115 of them being students from several Bay County schools. The students will be working with the Midland Street Business Association to complete several beautification projects in the Midland Street area.  The Bay county community recently suffered from a large fire and some of our Day of Caring activities will be to do a clean up.
