On Saturday, October 9, from 1-4 pm Volunteers are needed to 275 Pipestone, Benton Harbor MI to help distribute bottled water to residents. Several years ago, high lead levels were discovered in the municipal water supply and since then community organizations like the Black Autonomy Network Community Organization has been educating the public on water safety and providing residents with filters and bottled water.
Tomorrow there is a bottled water distribution event and volunteers are needed to place cases of water in residents' vehicles. Volunteers are asked to wear masks for their safety and the safety of those who are being served.
For questions, volunteers can contact Reverend Edward Pinkney at 269 369 8257
