Red Cross Blood Drive Volunteers provide excellent and enthusiastic customer service to enhance the blood donor experience. Volunteers screen, register and express gratitude and ensure each blood donor is sincerely thanked for their donation. Volunteers:
- Provide a warm, friendly greeting to all donors
- Screen blood donors for health concerns
- Instruct and make donor comfortable in registration procedures
- Be alert and notify Red Cross staff if a donor does not appear to be feeling well
- Offer refreshments and conversation
- Help schedule appointments for the next blood drive
