Reading Mentor

READ's volunteer Mentors spend an hour every week reading to two children at a Saginaw County school or library. Mentors must pass a background check and they receive training before being paired with their students. A volunteer or staff site coordinator will match Mentors with students in need of extra support and a positive adult role model. READ provides Mentors with books, games, and resources to use in their mentoring sessions. We try to match Mentors with the school they prefer.
