Who We Are
Mission: To ensure the emotional, social, and financial well-being of Michigan families coping with a blood cancer diagnosis by providing personalized and compassionate support services throughout their cancer journey.
The Blood Cancer Foundation of Michigan (BCFM) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing critical support to patients and families affected by blood cancers such as leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma. By offering personalized services, education, and resources, BCFM helps individuals navigate the challenges of diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship.
What We Do
The Blood Cancer Foundation of Michigan offers a comprehensive range of services aimed at improving the quality of life for blood cancer patients and their families. They provide emotional support through personalized care plans, including counseling and case management to help families cope with the challenges of a blood cancer diagnosis. The foundation also offers financial assistance to help cover non-medical expenses, such as transportation, housing, and utilities, easing the financial burden for families in need. Educational resources are available to help patients better understand their diagnosis, treatment options, and long-term survivorship care. Additionally, BCFM hosts support groups, workshops, and community events to create a network of encouragement and strength for patients and caregivers. Through these services, the foundation plays a vital role in addressing the diverse needs of those affected by blood cancer.
