The organization carefully selects and trains dogs to assist individuals with physical disabilities, veterans with PTSD, and people with emotional or psychological needs. The service dogs are trained to perform various tasks, such as retrieving items, opening doors, providing stability, and offering comfort during anxiety episodes. Giving Paws also provides training sessions for recipients to ensure a strong bond between the individual and their service dog, as well as ongoing support to help with any adjustments.
