Who We Are
Mission: To help improve the lives and futures of the impoverished population of Ghana by providing access to basic healthcare, education assistance for children and young adults, housing for orphaned children, and startup funds for microbusinesses to help establish sustainable income for disadvantaged individuals
The Ishi Odamtten Foundation is a registered nonprofit, completely volunteer organization in Ghana and the United States of America. A main goal of our organization is to build an orphanage to care for homeless children in Ghana. We hope to begin construction of the main building in 2024 and ultimately add a school block and a small clinic to the property with the goal of implementing sustainable educational and health programs that will foster growth and an opportunity for a better life. Domestically, we also support the homeless in the state of Michigan with donations of food and other needed items to local shelters.
What We Do
We provide access to education, housing, and health care to orphans and those in need. In Ghana we provide access to free community medical clinics and educational support including school supplies, education, clothing and food. Here in Lansing we provide food and other necessities to local Lansing shelters including Lansing Rescue Mission, Homeless Angels, Loaves and Fishes and Hannah’s House. We also host fundraising events for funding events and the orphanage being built in Ghana.
