Who We Are
District 7 Association is a local non-profit servicing the Northwest side of Detroit, which comprises City Council District #7 and includes residents living in the Detroit Police Department’s Second, Sixth and Tenth Precincts.
What We Do
District 7 Association is committed to improving the quality of life for under-served communities and neighborhoods by providing food and housing security, educational and environmental sustainability, mental health awareness, and safety and security for vulnerable residents including our senior citizens, our youth, and low income families. We provide tangible resources to uplift and empower those who are victims, as well as survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking. During the Covid 19 pandemic, we have provided over 3,000 pounds of fresh fruit, vegetables, grain and protein to residents, delivered hot meals to nearly 500 seniors with disabilities, given out essential items, such as sanitizer, disinfectant, masks, gloves, face shields, and toiletries. Service to others is our daily ministry.
