Who We Are

Mission: To help older adults to continue living independently in their own homes.

Saginaw County Commission on Aging is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for older adults in Saginaw County by providing a range of services that promote independence, dignity, and well-being. The Commission works to address the diverse needs of seniors, ensuring they have access to resources and support that enable them to live fulfilling lives in their communities.

What We Do

The Saginaw County Commission on Aging offers a comprehensive array of services designed to support seniors in maintaining independence and improving their quality of life. These services include meal programs, transportation assistance, caregiver support, and in-home services such as housekeeping and personal care. The Commission also offers health and wellness programs, such as exercise classes and screenings, to help seniors stay active and healthy. Additionally, they provide information and referral services to connect older adults with community resources, as well as advocacy to ensure that the needs of seniors are represented in local and state policy decisions. Through their senior centers, the Commission organizes social activities, educational workshops, and support groups to reduce isolation and promote community engagement. By offering these services, the Saginaw County Commission on Aging strives to empower older adults to live as independently as possible while remaining connected to their communities.
