Who We Are

Mission: To enhance the quality of life by empowering individuals and strengthening communities.

NEMCSA-Northeast MI Community Service Agency provides services and resources to people of all ages to enhance their quality of life by empowering individuals and strengthening communities.  Through the senior adult division under the umbrella of AmeriCorps Seniors we have the programs Foster Grandparent, Senior Companion and RSVP/Retired Senior Volunteer Program.

What We Do

Through the national program AmeriCorps Seniors we recruit people 55 and up to volunteer in their community with nonprofits we have partnered with in the counties of Crawford and Roscommon.  There are a variety of volunteer opportunities like home delivered meal driver, teacher/student aide, NEMT (non-emergency medical transportation driver), food pantries, animal shelters, hospitals, blood drives and more.  Your volunteering can fit your schedule.  We offer mileage reimbursement *restrictions apply and excess liability insurance.
