Who We Are

Mission: To provide advocacy, support, and resources to survivors of domestic violence, empowering them to navigate the challenges they face in the aftermath of violence and fostering a safe and supportive community.

Capital Area Response Effort (CARE) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing immediate support and resources to victims of domestic violence in the Lansing, Michigan area. CARE works alongside law enforcement to ensure that survivors of domestic violence are connected to the necessary services and receive the advocacy and care they need to rebuild their lives.

What We Do

CARE offers a range of critical services to domestic violence survivors, starting with immediate crisis intervention after a domestic violence incident. The organization partners with local law enforcement to provide timely support, including emotional counseling and safety planning for victims. CARE also offers ongoing advocacy services, assisting survivors in accessing community resources such as shelter, legal services, and counseling programs. Additionally, CARE provides education on domestic violence prevention and works to raise awareness of the issue within the community, aiming to reduce incidents of domestic violence and foster a safer environment for all.
