Who We Are

Mission: To enhance the quality of life for individuals and families by providing opportunities, resources, and services that promote self-sufficiency, economic stability, and community engagement.

Genesee County Community Action Resources (GCCARD) is a nonprofit organization that aims to reduce poverty and improve the quality of life for low-income individuals and families in Genesee County, Michigan. Through a comprehensive network of services, GCCARD helps meet basic needs, enhances self-sufficiency, and fosters economic and social opportunities within the community. The organization is committed to addressing the causes of poverty and working to create sustainable improvements in the lives of residents.

What We Do

GCCARD provides a range of services to support low-income individuals and families in Genesee County, including emergency food distribution, utility and housing assistance, Head Start programs, and job training. The organization focuses on meeting immediate needs while promoting long-term self-sufficiency. Through partnerships, GCCARD also connects residents with healthcare, transportation, and other resources.
