Who We Are

Mission: To help students become confident readers by providing individualized tutoring and support, empowering them to succeed academically and beyond.

Reading Partners is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the literacy skills of elementary school students. The organization works to address the literacy gap by providing one-on-one tutoring to students who are reading below grade level. Through volunteer-based programs and evidence-based curriculum, Reading Partners aims to ensure that every child has the opportunity to become a confident and proficient reader.

What We Do

Reading Partners provides a range of services aimed at improving literacy among elementary school students. The organization partners with schools to offer one-on-one tutoring for students in kindergarten through fourth grade who are struggling with reading. Volunteers, trained by Reading Partners, work with students on reading comprehension, vocabulary, and fluency using a structured, research-based curriculum. In addition to tutoring, Reading Partners provides progress tracking, regular assessments, and resources for teachers and parents to support students’ literacy development. The program focuses on building confidence in young learners while fostering a love of reading, with the goal of closing the academic achievement gap and preparing students for future academic success.
