Position: Basic Administrative Tasks

Program: Improiving the Lives of Children

Department: Early Childhood Education

Location: Positions available at our Downtown and Edison Dreamery Centers

Days: Any day, Monday-Friday

Hours: Flexible between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm.

Qualifications:

1. Attention to detail and organizational skills

2. Ability to follow directions and work independently

3. Must be able to work with people from diverse backgrounds

4. Dependable

5. Previous office experience is helpful but not required

6. Agree to fingerprinting. YWCA covers this expense


Responsibilities:

1. File program-related forms and documents

2. Make photocopies of materials as needed

3. Assist with other light office tasks and errands as assigned

4. Maintain confidentiality and organization of sensitive paperwork

The Entry-Level Event Fundraising Planner is responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of fundraising events for our organization. This position will work under the guidance of senior event planners and the Fundraising Manager.

Responsibilities:

Event Planning & Execution: Assist in all stages of event planning, including venue selection, budgeting, arranging vendors and caterers, event promotion, and on-the-day event management.

Fundraising Support: Work with the fundraising team to integrate fundraising elements into events, such as ticket sales, auctions, raffles, and sponsorships.

Stakeholder Liaison: Coordinate with vendors, volunteers, staff, and attendees to ensure a smooth event experience.

Marketing & Promotion: Assist in promoting the event through various channels, including social media, email newsletters, and local media.

Post-Event Tasks: Help with event clean-up, thanking participants and donors, measuring event success, and making recommendations for future events.

Required Experience & Skills:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field is preferred.

Experience: Previous experience in event planning or volunteering in event-related roles is a plus.

Skills: Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask, and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary. Proficiency in MS Office or similar software is preferred.

Attributes: A passion for the mission of the nonprofit, ability to work well in a team, and a proactive approach towards problem-solving.
