Volunteer: Road To Recovery - Drive Patients to Cancer Treatment

Even the best treatment can’t work if a patient can’t get there. That’s why a successful transportation assistance program can be a tremendous, potentially life-saving asset to your community.

To volunteer, what do you need?

If you own or have regular access to a safe, reliable vehicle, then you’re already on the road to volunteering. But you’ll also need:

A good driving record A current, valid driver’s license Proof of adequate automobile insurance Completion of the American Cancer Society training courses Regular access to a computer, laptop, smart phone or tablet computer Schedule availability, typically Monday-Saturday Covid-19 vaccination highly encouraged, but not required

Agency: American Cancer Society of Michigan
