THIS IS A SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN VOLUNTEER POSITION

The Vet Coordinator role entails being the liaison between our fosters and veterinary offices to ensure that cats and kittens are being properly scheduled for appointments, so they are current on all necessary medical needs while in our care and prior to adoption.

Time commitment is a few hours a week and may vary from week to week depending on need and urgency.

Key Responsibilities

Call Heavenly Paws partner veterinary offices to schedule necessary vet careCoordinate foster's availability with available veterinary appointment time slotsEnsure that proper vaccines and tests are scheduled in accordance with cat/kitten vaccine and testing schedulesDocument all veterinary appointments, tests and updates that are scheduled/completed in the cat/kitten master spreadsheetEnsure new foster information is loaded into the master spreadsheetQualifications

Strength and comfort in using Microsoft Excel, Google Drive and GmailSolid written and verbal communications skills (email, phone, texting)Relationship Mgt to work effectively with veterinary partnersBroad, successful teamwork across Board, fosters and volunteers
