Volunteers 55+ are needed at two different locations in Dearborn Heights on Thursday mornings. Volunteers will help clients select food inside the trailer or help take carts to cars. Volunteers as little or as much as you would like.

A local food pantry in Commerce is in need of many volunteers to help with a variety of jobs. Help families in need of food by volunteering at the welcome desk, stocking shelves or offering shopping assistance to clients. Drivers are also needed to pick up food donations from area businesses.

Volunteers age 55+ are needed at a Kids Club Afterschool Program at the UWM Sports Complex in Pontiac. Volunteers will help students with homework/reading. Available times Tuesdays and/or Thursdays between the hours of 4pm-6:30pm. Held at the UWM Sports Complex.

Southeast Michigan Meals on Wheels needs volunteers to pack meals that will be delivered to Southeast Oakland County Seniors. These meals help older adults stay independent in their homes. Shifts are available Monday through Friday. Choose between 9-11 am or 11am-1pm.

Adult Day Center in Pontiac needs volunteers to assist with Enrichment Activities. Help with Bingo, organizing supplies, assisting with other activities and games. As little as 1-2 hours per week or month can change the lives of the adults who attend the center.

Seniors in Macomb County need rides to medical appointments and/or shopping. Many cannot safely drive themselves. You can select which cities, days and times you would like to drive. You can select to only drive where you are comfortable and familiar. Many volunteers drive the same seniors many times and develop a positive rapport. Those receiving rides are very thankful to have the help to improve or maintain their health and independence.
