Volunteer: Love to Read? We need you!Teach one learner how to read by focusing on letters, sounds, and spelling patterns. You’ll be able to teach learners of all ages and abilities how to read better. Our scripted curriculum, The Barton Reading and Spelling System, was designed with you in mind. Each lesson, list, and reading passage is scripted so you can focus on getting to know your learner and help them reach their goals. You'll work with the same learner two hours a week until they reach grade level. Most of our learners have warning signs of dyslexia, the most common cause of reading failure. COVID-19 disrupted education delivery across the country. The demand for reading tutors is higher than ever.
