Needs From: Volunteer Michigan

Be a classroom aide for Head Start which strives to promote school readiness for low income kids from birth to 5 years old.  Assist with activities, crafts, learning and more.

Elementary school opportunities:

Be a classroom aide to assist students with reading, schoolwork, projects one on one or small group of students.   Lunchroom buddy/or recess supervision, assist in library and help students with reading or read to students, prep materials for the teacher and classroom.  Available in the following counites; Crawford, Roscommon. 

Volunteers needed for various food pantries and food trucks to accommodate residents of the community.  Volunteers will register and assist guests with food support, keep shelves, freezers stocked and organized, clean area and breakdown boxes, assist guests with food collection and loading.  

Provide transportation for individuals to medical appointments.  Flexible schedule, possibility to receive stipend for mileage.  If driving for Roscommon County there is possibility to drive county vehicle and not your own and still receive stipend for mileage/time. 

Counties needed: Alpena, Alcona, Cheboygan, Crawford, Montmorency, Ogemaw, Oscoda, Presque Isle, and Roscommon.

Wide variety of needs that one can assist with: animal care and rehab, food prep, feedings, food dish cleaning, crate/cage cleaning, clean bedding, baby animal care, office help.  Flexible schedule.  Located in St Helen.

** Late March, and April need volunteers to assist with baby animals.
