Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Engage in friendly, courteous, and welcoming interactions with visitors Monitor visitor experiences while ensuring the exhibit is clean and running smoothly Perform short demonstrations of the interactives throughout the exhibit Assist with the initial clean and startup the exhibit when possible before the museum opens

Time Commitment: 3-4 hours shifts while the museum is open to the public (mornings and weekends needed most)
Orientation and Training: Additional training for Mazes and Brain Gamers include an overview of the exhibit docent guide and an in-depth guided tour of the exhibit by a member of the Education & Outreach Team. You will also be trained by the Exhibits Team on how to properly reset and perform small routine cleanings of the exhibit.
Outside of specific department position training, all volunteers must complete a Sloan Museum of Discovery and Longway Planetarium volunteer orientation session that provide a building familiarization tour and an overview of volunteer related policies and procedures. Volunteers will be asked to submit to a criminal background check. Volunteers who do not agree to the background check will be refused assignment. Volunteer: VIGIL NODA "No One Dies Alone" Hospice Volunteers Needed in Bloomfield HillsCorsoCare Hospice is seeking compassionate, empathetic individuals who are willing to give their time and supportive presence to become Vigil NODA "No One Dies Alone" volunteers. These incredibly special volunteers are asked to provide support to our actively dying patients in facility settings and private homes. This includes sitting by the bedside, providing calming music or supportive presence (conversation/reading/gentle touch) and supporting grieving families at the bedside. Please note: If you are new to hospice or NODA volunteering, as part of your training, you will be asked to serve as a Companion Volunteer for a period of 1-2 months to ensure it is a fit. This is due to the sensitive nature of NODA Volunteering and is subject to Volunteer Coordinator approval. Agency: CorsoCare Hospice CorsoCare Hospice is looking for military veterans who are interested in becoming a visiting companion for our military veteran hospice clients. As a Hospice Veteran Volunteer, you have the honor of supporting our military patients in the final part of their journey. As a veteran, you share a special connection with veteran patients that only can be found through the mutual experiences and code of military members. You will have the opportunity to offer companionship to patients in facility settings and in their homes. CorsoCare Hospice is a proud Level 3 Member of the We Honor Veteran’s program, which is a collaboration between the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. CorsoCare provides all PPE necessary to ensure a safe and enriching experience on every visit. You will also be provided ongoing one-on-one staff support throughout your service with us and will be invited to education opportunities and appreciation events.
