Can you spare an hour for an elderly hospice patient? CorsoCare Hospice is seeking compassionate, empathetic individuals who are willing to give their time and supportive presence by visiting hospice patients in facility settings and occasionally private homes.

Our volunteers share their time in many ways and may include reading to the patient, taking a walk, playing cards, watching TV, chatting or some other low-key activity the patient feels up to doing. Sometimes just sitting with them is enough.

CorsoCare provides all PPE necessary to ensure a safe and enriching experience on every visit. You will also be provided ongoing one-on-one staff support throughout your service with us and will be invited to education opportunities and appreciation events.

If you have any questions or need further information, please contact Nikki Gerber, Volunteer Administrative Assistant, at (248) 260-8257 or Nicole.Gerber@corsocare.com.

CorsoCare Hospice is looking for military veterans who are interested in becoming a visiting companion for our military veteran hospice clients. As a Hospice Veteran Volunteer, you have the honor of supporting our military patients in the final part of their journey. As a veteran, you share a special connection with veteran patients that only can be found through the mutual experiences and code of military members. You will have the opportunity to offer companionship to patients in facility settings and in their homes.

CorsoCare Hospice is a proud Level 3 Member of the We Honor Veteran’s program, which is a collaboration between the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

"Sometimes in life, we just need someone who will be there for us. Someone who will listen. Someone who will understand us."
