Needs From: Volunteer Michigan

The purpose of this position is to assist the Facilities Supervisor with shelter upkeep, maintenance issues, and special projects around the shelter.

Key Responsibilities:

General Cleaning Groundskeeping Assist with preventative maintenance issues Organization of facilities room Special cleaning projects Other duties as assigned

Time Commiment:

Volunteers can schedule for weekly, biweekly, or monthly basis. Shifts can be scheduled M-F 9am-3pm or on weekends as arranged with staff.

Dress Code:

We ask that volunteers wear clothing that provides modest coverage. Close-toed shoes are required, for safety and hygiene reasons.

Important Information:

People between the ages of 15 and 18 are welcome to volunteer with a parent or guardian. Interested applicants must complete an EVE Volunteer Application found at EVE Application The volunteer must pass a criminal background check Due to confidentiality, the exact location will be provided to chosen volunteer Some training may be required prior to starting this position

The office administration volunteer will work with EVE’s office manager to provide office management support to help EVE function at full capacity. The administrative office is the hub of EVE and it works with EVE staff to ensure their departments’ needs are met to better serve survivors of domestic and sexual violence while also maintaining a positive image with donors and other community partners.

Compose correspondence and other documents Answer phones and take complete messages Routine mailing Filing Computer data entry Other projects as needed
