Michigan Community Service Commission encourages individuals to become familiar with their local Volunteer Center.  Listed below are links to the volunteer centers in each region of the state.  A * next to the name of the center indicates that they are a Volunteer Generation Fund Partner of the Michigan Community Service Commission.  This means that they are provide and share resources locally and statewide to increase volunteerism and help nonprofits build their capacity to utilize the skills and talents of volunteers through training and access to technology and other resources.

Emmet County's Emergency Management has requested a Volunteer Reception Center to signup volunteers for recovery efforts across the county.  Volunteers who sign up for Emmet County's Disaster Recovery effort will be able to select the skills and resources that they have available to help fellow residents recovery from the storms.

Most Michigan communities have trained local volunteers serving alongside local police and fire.  As a new effort, we are working with local CERT TEAM Leaders to post their volunteer needs.  If your local community does not yet have their CERT Volunteer needs posted, apply to this need and we will connect you with your local CERT Team.  If a CERT Team does not operate in your area, we will help you locate a team nearby.
