The Michigan Community Service Commission is seeking to connect with volunteers who are 55+ to serve with an initiative to launch our skills-based volunteer program. We are in search of volunteers who are willing to learn project management skills in a fun, interactive and online environment to help match agencies with skills-based volunteers. In addition, we will have other opportunities to support our skills-based program and volunteerism as a whole that you'll be invited to join.
If you have the following needs, passion and skills, we would love to have you join us:
1. An adult 55+ who would like to serve, but you need a flexible schedule. You choose when you serve and projects typically last 2-6 weeks.
2. Have computer skills and access to a computer. You'll use email, a virtual meeting tool of your choice, and access our volunteer platform. We'll provide training for the platform use.
3. You love working with people and helping to support a variety of causes. This position will ensure nonprofits have access to professional skills they need to grow their capacity.
4. You may have project management skills, which is great. If not, no worries... we provide the training you will need to be successful.
