Mission: To provide a safe and supportive environment for youth in Detroit through sports, mentoring, and educational programs, empowering them to reach their full potential.
Detroit PAL (Police Athletic League) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering Detroit’s youth through sports, mentoring, and educational programs. By offering a range of athletic and academic opportunities, Detroit PAL aims to foster character development, teamwork, and leadership skills. The organization builds positive relationships between young people and law enforcement, helping to break down barriers and create a supportive environment for youth in Detroit. Detroit PAL’s commitment to building strong, confident leaders helps youth achieve success both on and off the field.
What We Do
- Youth sports leagues, including basketball, football, cheerleading, baseball, and soccer.
- Mentorship programs that pair youth with positive role models, including police officers.
- Academic enrichment programs and after-school activities.
- Leadership development and character-building initiatives.
- Summer camps and recreational activities.
- Community engagement events to strengthen ties between youth and law enforcement.
